Kisetsu Crossroads (or kisekuro) is a series of comics about 8 childhood friends from Gifu. As they grow up, they eventually go on their separate ways, brought about by circumstances that are out of control for a kid. The stories chronicle how these experiences shape them and affect them as they grow into adulthood.The story is separated into 4 parts to represent the story of each sibling pair in the childhood friend group:
Summer, for Ichiya and Kanna;
Autumn, for Beni and Sei;
Winter, for Fuji and Sakura;
Spring, for Yuon and Amato.While Kisetsu Crossroads is a mostly slice-of-life story, it also deals with a lot of mature themes, including but not limited to: familial trauma, parental abandonment, etc.Kisetsu Crossroads' main story deals with this slice-of-life premise, but there is also an implied multiverse that will be explored more in side content.

Hello! I am Sanare (sanarehouse) and I made Kisekuro!
I also go by lycalleon, but I want to use Sanare as the pen name for my comics.Kisetsu Crossroads is a story I've been cooking up slowly after getting too invested in Ichiya, who I initially made for an RP group in 2020. Now he's got his own story and a whole world I built up around him!Thank you for your interest in my work! I hope to put up the stories soon. Please look forward to it!

Kisetsu Crossroads

summer

After their parents' divorce, Ichiya moves to Kamogawa to live with his father while his older sister Kanna stays in Gifu with their mother.Kanna dreams of running.
Ichiya dreams of staying.Summer is about Ichiya's and Kanna's regrets.

Kuroda, Ichiya

A transferee in Kamogawa. He is doing his best to debut as a nice and polite high school kid, hiding his mischievous and petty self. He's pretty serious about keeping up the facade. Kanna's little brother.

Abiko, Subaru

A cheerful and bright extrovert. He's friends with near everyone and can survive in any social climate. Really good at dancing and has a stealth YT account to post his dance covers.

Saeki, Hitoka

Seems spacey, but is actually the top student in their year. She's involved in a lot of school activities and tends to be very busy. For stress relief, she obsessively plays games and generally rages in them.

Yaotome, Jun

A peculiar student in Gifu. He claims to have known Kanna "in a different life." Incredibly naive and seems to constantly be experiencing new things in his daily life. Looks unamused, but actually always excited.

Furukawa, Yuemi

Charismatic and popular but generally distant. She was the first to see Ichiya for what he is. Like Ichiya, she was a transferee to Kamogawa in junior high. She likes to keep her life and history secret.

Chiba, Mamoru

A quiet enigma. He doesn't talk with anyone much other than his best friend Subaru, and is generally wary of crowds. Has a growing but secret interest in music that he hides from his strict and serious family.

Kuroda, Kanna

Stubborn and passionately follows her heart. She likes running and wants to become a track athlete, but has a heart condition preventing this, much to her annoyance. Ichiya's older sister living in Gifu.
